Any player uninterested in these large tournaments or who just wants to play now can play one of the smaller tournaments offered at Party Poker. They offer single and multi-table Sit and Go tournaments for those players, and also offer STEP tournaments. A STEP tournament is a series of small tournaments, offered at either 10 or 20 player tables, which a player can partake in for a modest buy in of $12. Basically, a player will start the tournament series at level one, the winners of the level one tournaments advance to level two, and this continues until a level five table is ready. The top four place finishers at the level five table will share a pot ($20,000 for a 20 player series or $10,000 for a 10 player series).
Party Poker awards different bonuses to players depending on if they are a new player or an established Party Poker member. All new players receive a welcome bonus of $25 in bonus money whenever they make their first deposit into their account, any new player who makes a large enough initial deposit into their account is given a bonus of 20% of the value of the deposit in bonus money ($100 is the maximum bonus).
